Welcome to Shamgar Ben-Eliyahu’s neuro-immunology lab at the Sagol School of Neuroscience and School of Psychological Sciences, Tel-Aviv University, Israel.

Our lab focuses on the complex relationships between stress, the endocrine system, the immune system, and cancer progression, in both animals and humans. Within the fields of “Perioperative treatment of cancer patients” and “PsychoNeuroImmunology”, we devise and test pharmacological and psycho-behavioral interventions to improve long-term survival, especially in cancer patients undergoing surgery for removal of a primary tumor.
